Prentice Cooper Williams, known affectionately as Cooper, passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 83 in Louisville, Tennessee. Born in Englewood, Tennessee, Cooper embarked on a life marked by dedication to his family, a passion for the outdoors, and a notable career that spanned from livestock management to real estate.

From the tender age of 10, Cooper was deeply involved in the livestock business, showing an early knack for the trade that would define much of his professional life. His career later diversified into real estate, where he applied his sharp acumen and extensive knowledge of land, a testament to his versatile capabilities and hardworking nature.

Cooper's love for travel, particularly to the western United States, was a source of joy and adventure in his life, often shared with his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Bunch Williams. His vivid coon hunting stories, filled with humor and excitement, will be fondly remembered by those who had the pleasure of listening.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary; son, Timothy Williams and his wife Tracy; granddaughter, Brooke Cox and her husband Dan; sisters, Billie Sue Michaels and her husband Johnny, and Kathy McWilliams; sisters-in-law, Iva Shown and her husband Joe, Edith Taylor, Brenda Crisp, Phyllis Brantley, and Jean Bunch. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ina Williams; brothers, Bob, Jack, Wayne, and Dennis Williams; sisters, Margaret Whitehead, Cherry Watson, and Betty Barton; and brother-in-law, Charles Bunch.

Graveside services will be held at Louisville Cemetery on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11 a.m., where friends and family will gather to honor Cooper's rich and impactful life. His legacy will be cherished through the stories shared, the values he taught, and the love he spread throughout his years.
