Our basic cremation includes:
- Transportation – We'll bring your loved one into our care from the place of passing (within a local service area).
- Professional Staff Services – The essential, non-declinable services of our licensed staff and administrative support.
- Secure Sheltering – Climate-controlled care for your loved one before the cremation process begins.
- The Cremation Process – The secure and dignified cremation, conducted according to all state regulations.
- Required Paperwork & Permits – We handle filing the death certificate and obtaining all necessary government permits (certified copies not included).
- Online Memorial Tribute – A dedicated online space to share an obituary, photos, and condolences (as requested in your email).
- Alternative Cremation Container – A respectful and required container for the cremation process.
- Return of Ashes – The cremated remains are placed in a simple, durable container for the family.

Founded over 50 years ago by Mr. Leonard Smith, our funeral home was built with a deep commitment to helping families through difficult times. Together with Mr. Don Gibson and Mr. Ralph Chambers, they created a foundation that focused on compassion and community. Through their efforts, Smith Funeral & Cremation Center became synonymous with dignity, care, and professionalism.
Since then, we have expanded to include Grandview Cemetery and other facilities, all with a focus on making the process easier for families during such profound moments. Though Leonard Smith passed in 1991, his values continue to shape our work today. Still led by the team who joined Mr. Smith all those years ago, our commitment to excellence, compassion, and community remains unwavering.
