Margaret D. Rowan

Margaret D. Rowan, 91, of Maryville, TN passed away on July 15, 2026. She was born April 9, 1935, to Margaret T. Diehl and Kenneth C. Diehl in Raleigh, NC.

She is survived by her daughter Anne Mercer Rowan, son Robert Charles Rowan (Shelby), her grandsons Charles Allen Rowan and Nicholas Scott Rowan, her sister Patricia D. Blumberg (Larry) San Diego, CA, her brother Kenneth C. Diehl Jr. (Holly) West Jefferson, NC, her nieces Margaret Blumberg Young, San Deigo, CA, Mary Helen Blumberg New York, NY, Sarah T. Diehl and Emily W. Diehl, Blowing Rock, NC.

Known to friends and neighbors by Lynn and Maggie. She was a generous and caring mother and grandmother whose cherished traditions will keep her spirit present in our lives. She was a civilian employee of the Department of the Navy, an avid seamstress and lover of books. She enjoyed being active in her family’s lives, especially the annual trips to Holden Beach, NC the past 34 years!

Her absence will be deeply felt in the everyday moments that once held her presence.
