With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Lynn Marie LaRock Broussard, who entered her heavenly rest on August 27, 2026, at the age of 74.

Lynn was born on May 22, 1952, in Niagara Falls, New York, to Eugene Joseph LaRock and Geraldine (Hamilton) LaRock. She graduated from Madonna High School on June 14, 1970. Lynn later made her home in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she raised her family and created many cherished memories. In 2000, she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she spent the last 26 years of her life surrounded by her church community, family, and friends.

Above all else, Lynn cherished her family. She loved watching her children and grandchildren grow, celebrating their accomplishments and milestones with genuine pride and joy. She was always ready to help, offer advice, share a laugh, or provide comfort during difficult times. What mattered most to Lynn was seeing the people she loved happy. The love and care she showed throughout her life will be remembered and treasured by her family forever.

Lynn was a loving mother to Howard L. Broussard III, Shain S. Broussard, and Angelique N. Faller and her husband, Kent. She was the most wonderful and proud "Gigi" to Samantha L. Broussard, Gage S. Broussard (Xiaotang Xu), Kagan E. Broussard, Katryn E. Faller, Connor L. Faller, Adam K. Faller, Eoin J. Faller, and Lillian M. Faller. She was also blessed to become Great Gigi to her beloved "Charlie Bear," Charles X. Broussard.

A woman of deep faith, Lynn was a proud and dedicated member of Knoxville First Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she faithfully worshiped and served as the Church Secretary. She found great purpose in serving her church family and lived her life as a reflection of her faith, kindness, and compassion.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Joseph LaRock and Geraldine (Hamilton) LaRock; her sister, Deanne; and her brother, Fred.

She is survived by her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandson; her siblings, Carl, Phyllis, Steve, and Greg; and many cherished friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever treasure her memory.

Those who knew Lynn will remember her sharp wit, strong spirit, and unmistakable honesty. She was never afraid to speak her mind and tell it like it was, but those who loved her knew that her words were rooted in genuine care and a desire to help others. Lynn was independent, resilient, and fiercely true to herself. She formed lasting friendships, cherished her family, and could always be counted on for a candid opinion, practical advice, or a good story. Her presence was larger than life, and she leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and comfort to those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Knoxville First Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3611 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Friends will be received beginning at 3:00 p.m., with the memorial service immediately following from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m..

Lynn was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed every day. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life well lived, a faith well kept, and a woman whose strength, love, and unforgettable spirit will remain with us always.

As we remember Lynn and the many ways she touched our lives, we find comfort in the words of Psalm 116:7:

"Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you."

After a lifetime of caring for others, serving her church, and loving her family, we take comfort in knowing that Lynn is now at peace, resting in the goodness and grace of the Lord she so faithfully served.
