Kathryn L. Parker, age 97, of Alcoa, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, March 22, 2026. She was born May 17, 1928, to the late Dwight and Evelyn Lovingood. She was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church of Alcoa and a graduate of Everett High School, class of ’46.

“Kat” was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Other than her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved son, Stephen Parker, her devoted husband, Howard Parker and sisters, Wilma Ray, Earnestine Foster, Fran Carroll and brothers, D.L. and James Lovingood.

Kathryn is survived by her grandson, Anthony (Michelle) Parker, great-granddaughter, Collette, daughter-in-law, Karleen (Bill) Brooker, special family members Vicki and Larry Wilson, several nieces and nephews, and her dearly loved Westgate neighbors and an abundance of friends.

Family graveside service will be at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, Monday, March 30, 2026 at 3pm.

Kathryn requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Central Baptist Church of Alcoa, 962 Springbrook Rd, Alcoa, TN, 37701 for the building fund.
