Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Stringer

Tommy Stringer, age 79, passed away at his home in Maryville,TN on October 12, 2017. He is preceded in death by his infant son Jonathan Dean Stringer, his parents James and Mary Stringer and his brothers Charles Stringer and Leonard Stringer. Tommy is survived by his wife Elsie, sons David Stringer (Robin) and Jonathan Stephen Stringer (Kristin), grandchildren Amira, Brandon, Rachel, Evan, Bryan, Brantley, Natalia, David II and Jonah, great-grandchildren Abigail, Matthew, Elizabeth and Caleb, brothers Felix Stringer (Carolyn), Donald Stringer (Dorothy) and James Stringer, sisters-in-law Lucille Stringer and Elaine Stringer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tommy has always been a very faithful and devoted man to his Christ, his family and to the church, having served in church leadership for more than 55 years. A memorial service will be held in Texas at a later date.
