Joan Kay Van Brunt of Greenback, aged 75, passed away peacefully at The Lantern in Lenior City, TN on September 22, 2026. She was born in Ionia, Michigan the daughter of the late Dwight K. and Eleanor J.(Doboz) Bailey. She is survived by her husband William C. Van Brunt, sister Barbara D. Dietrich, brother John D. Bailey, daughters Elizabeth A. Van Brunt and Emily A. (Andrew) Dozier and nephew Andrew Spencer. She graduated from Ionia High School and Central Michigan University with a BS in Economics. She spent her career working for various insurance companies and insurance agencies and retired in 2008. She was a member of Greenback First Presbyterian Church. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 27th, 2026, at the Greenback First Presbyterian Church.
