Mike Wilson

Mike Wilson, age 80, passed away on November 5, 2023, at his home after a six-year struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He was born in Maryville, TN, on February 15, 1943, to the late Roy Wilson and the late Mae Wilson. He was employed by Northwest Airlines for 32 years. Mike was an avid golfer. He was known as “Wills” by all his golfing buddies.

In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Wilson and Jerry Wilson, and a nephew, Jerry Lynn Wilson.

Mike is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shelia Wilson; daughters Wendy Wilson (Lee) and Cissy Wilson; granddaughters Bailey Tipton and Riley Hicks (K’Vaughn); brothers Don Wilson (Wilma) and Jack Wilson (Anna); and sister Phyllis Herron (Franklin).

The family would like to thank Pam Hart who provided care for Mike during the last two years.

There will be no funeral or memorial service. Condolences may be left at www.CremationByGrandview.com. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mike’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
