After a battle with illness, Cheryl Ann Treichel, 55, passed away on January 14 , 2026, in Oak Ridge, TN. Born in Meriden, CT, Cheryl grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts and graduated from Faith Christian Academy, she loved the beach and salt water. She moved to Oak Ridge and worked in retail, Books-A-Million being her favorite because she loved to read. She was creative and crafty and loved to cross-stitch. She had an avid love for all animals and adored her many cats over the years. Cheryl was kind and caring and would help anyone in need. Her laughter and smile would bring warmth and brightness to all.

Cheryl is predeceased by her grandmother Grace Donovan-Elskamp; and her grandmother Grace Treichel; and her uncle Joseph Donovan; and her uncle Michael Donovan. She is survived by her mother Patricia A. Horiguchi and stepfather Hiroshi Horiguchi; her father Robert E. Treichel, Sr.; her brother Robert Treichel Jr. and wife Marie; her biological son Robert Schultz and his wife Courtney and four grandchildren: Nalie, Kolten, Daniel Lee, and Ciel; her Aunt Marie Kelley; and her Uncle James Donovan; her niece and nephew; two grandnieces and one grandnephew; and six cousins; and many friends whom she loved and cherished.
