Obituary

Alice Grace Dutton, 83, of Alcoa, TN passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 1, 2026. Alice was born in Sevierville, TN on July 31, 1942. She was a CNA for many years and later worked as a daycare teacher. Alice was a member of First Baptist Church of Alcoa. She was fiercely loyal to her family and a passionate woman. Her hobbies included watching Hallmark movies and UT Sports, and supporting her family’s missions work. Alice is preceded in death by her husband Paul Warren Dutton; parents Albert and Ida “Ethel” (Maples) Caughron; brother Emerson Caughron; sister Reba Caughron; brother-in-law Ralph Dutton; sister-in-law Clara (Chandler) Dutton; grandparents McKinley and Virgie (McCarter) Maples; aunt Beulah Purkey; and her husband Paul’s parents Paul Franklin and Cloeva (Heatherly) Dutton. She is survived by her son Ricky (Ellen) Dutton and grandchildren Heather, Brady, and Riley Dutton; son Brian (Sherry) Dutton and grandchildren Joe and Alison (Dutton) Gallagher, Andrew and Josh Dutton, and grand-dog Sadie; brothers-in-law C.M. Chandler and David (Carol) Dutton; sister-in-law Linda (Dutton) Wallace; and aunt Delores Maples. A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be held at Broadway Baptist Church in Maryville on Saturday, July 11th from 4:00- 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to honor her memory and, like Alice, donate to mission work, you can donate to Brady Dutton as he works as a full time missionary with Cru Ministries at the University of Michigan. Donations can be made to: Cru Ministries . You can also donate toward’s Brian’s family whom are involved with missions to Honduras through Broadway Baptist Church.
