Theodore Joseph Risko

Theodore Joseph Risko (Ted/Woody) of Alcoa, TN, went to his Heavenly Home on 2-29-2024.

Ted was born in Aurora, IL to Joseph and Anna Risko on 12/02/1939.  They moved to southern CA when he was very young.  Ted graduated from Mar Vista High School in 1957.  He married his one true love in 1960, and they were blessed with 63 years of marriage.  Ted worked for several scaffolding/shipyard companies in San Diego for many years.   He loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed the Chargers, Padres, camping, fishing, bowling and any reason to get together with loved ones.  Ted’s quiet faith, love and support for his family are his legacy. Ted and his wife moved to TN 11/2020 to be nearer to family who could help care for them.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Naoma and Diane; and his brother Ray.  He is survived by his wife Janice; his children Robin and husband, Debbie and Teddy; his grandchildren Andrew and wife Alisha, Courtney, Nicole and husband Justin, Brian and wife Robin, and Jessica; his great grandchildren Hunter, Harper, Josua, Amelia and Rowan; nieces Elaine and Lorraine; nephews Chet and Joey; brother-in-laws Jimmy and wife Gitte, Ed and wife Lisa and Mike; and his cousin Randy.

A small private service for family members will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11am.  Reverend Eddie Sweet will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charities.
