Mrs. Peggy Lou Potter

Peggy Lou Potter, 81, of Maryville passed away at home Friday morning, June 28, 2019. Peggy attended Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Potter, son Michael J. Skaggs and her parents Raymond and Marie Roszell. Peggy is survived by her daughters Michele Renee Self (fiancé Jim) of Maryville, Melinda Raye Maner of Maryville, Shawn Suzette Theriot (Todd) of Louisiana, and Johnnie Rae Cunningham (Shawn) of Maryville, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, sisters Jo Vornauf of Alabama, Mary McNew (Harlan) of Alabama, Ruth Ullery of Indiana, brother James Roszell (Kathy) of Indiana, as well as her amazing friend of 43 years, Brenda Gunter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105). Private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
