Patricia Kay Reinbold

February 28, 1947 — March 17, 2026

Maryville, TN

Patricia “Patty” Kay Reinbold (1947 - 2026) was a beloved Mother, Ninney, Aunt, and friend. She is survived by her three children Julie Reinbold, Chris Reinbold, and Jennifer Spann. She is also survived by her two grandsons Andy and Jackson Spann, her son-in-law Drew Spann, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Dad Jim Morris and her Mother Edna Morris, and her three sisters Dreama Smith, Christine Headley, and Debbie Allen.

Patty was born and raised in West Virginia. She had many stories about growing up in Morgantown, where she loved living close to her second mother Mary Bartling. She often said that the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee reminded her of the hills of West Virginia.

Patty spent the majority of her adult life caring for children – her own, of course, as well as a plethora of other people’s, as a nanny. She was known as Miss Patty and was much loved by all of them. She earned the honor of being a Super Nanny and was written about in The Commercial Appeal.

Patty was compassionate, resilient, and strong. Her favorite role was being Ninney to her two grandsons. She was exceptionally proud of both of them.

Some things that Patty loved were tea pots, I Love Lucy (she and her best friend Jackie were often compared to Lucy and Ethel), cooking for and taking care of her family, the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Tennessee Volunteers, ballet, and Hershey bars.

Patty will be missed here on earth, but we are comforted knowing that she is now reunited with her sisters and will be watching over us from heaven. She is no longer in pain and is resting in the arms of Jesus.

A memorial service will be held on June 19 at 6:30pm at Alcoa First Methodist Church in Alcoa, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be given to Breakthrough T1D (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
