Pioneering as the first female to hold a state contract in Tennessee, she displayed her entrepreneurial spirit and unyielding tenacity. Making her mark in the business world, Mary was the proud owner of a Native American store, Sacred Paths, in Townsend that became a bastion for local culture and tradition.
