Mrs. Mae Dorris

Mrs. Mae Dorris went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 15, 2022, after sustaining injuries in a car accident. Mae was born on December 8, 1936, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edwin Murrah of Springfield, TN. She grew up in Springfield where she met, and later married, Wayne C. Dorris, also of Springfield, TN. Mae worked over the years as a bank teller in Springfield, Covington and Jackson, TN, but her true calling was ministering to others. She served side by side with her husband, who was a minister of music. She was loved by many and was a very great lady. Mrs. Dorris was an amazing wife, mom, grandmother, and friend. She was recently called “Other” because one of her great grandchildren couldn’t say “grandmother”. Her death was a shock, and her absence will leave a huge hole in many, many hearts.
