Joseph "Joey" Edward Maples

Joseph “Joey” Edward Maples passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 48. Born and raised in Maryville, Tennessee, Joey will be remembered as a wonderful caretaker and as a loving, funny, and great brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He loved fishing, bowling, and playing games of all types.

Joey is preceded in death by his partner of 15 years, Christel Rinaldi, mother Judy Maples, sister Paula Rainer, father-in-law Joseph “Pops” Rinaldi, and nephew Nicholas Molina-Muniz. He is survived by his sister Stacey Resendiz; nieces Lilli Molina-Muniz, Cylee Smith, and Chesney Rainer; uncles Mike Maples and Dennis Phillips, Sr.; aunt Brenda Frye; and cousins Dennis Phillips, Jr., Michael Phillips, and Eric McGhee.

A private service for Joey will be held at a later date.
