Janice Raye Swanda

Janice Raye Swanda, 79, of Melbourne, FL went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Janice was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She worked for the Brevard County, FL school system for 21 years before moving to Maryville, TN to be close to her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruth Swanda; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and David Cole. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jean Higginbotham (Mark Branham); granddaughters, Stephanie Avallone, Sabrina Shriver (Wes), Rose Kimsey (Tim Holt), Katie Kimsey (Rob Adams); 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Swanda (Mary Ruth); sister, Marion Embersol; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at Prospect Baptist Church in Walland, TN on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, family will accept donations towards funeral expenses.
