Jane May Hadley

Jane M. Hadley, born Jane Carolyn May, on April 6, 1939, in Ashland Kentucky, died on December 22, 2022, in Maryville, Tennessee.

Jane is preceded in death by her father and mother, Haskell and Mary May, and her husband, Charles Hadley. She is survived by her brother, Russell May, sister, Helen (May) George, son, Patrick Hadley of Anchorage, Alaska, daughter-in-law Gayle Hadley, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brandon) Welsh, Joel Hadley (Grace), and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Elias, and Ariel Welsh.

Jane moved from Kentucky to Sarasota, Florida at age 15, and at 19, married Charles B. Hadley. Jane earned her LPN from Manatee Junior College, and worked for many years as a nurse and medical office manager in Sarasota. Jane enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school, and spending time with her family. She was a member for many years of First Baptist Church of Sarasota, Florida, and First Baptist Church of Maryville, Tennessee. There will be a small celebration of life with her family in Alaska in the summer of 2023.

Jane loved the people and ministry of Wears Valley Ranch, especially the Wood family, including Jim and Susan Wood, founders of Wears Valley Ranch and Andrew and Hannah Wood, who also serve at the Ranch and at Covenant Community Church on its campus.
