James Howard Neeley, Jr.

James H Neeley, Jr. packed up and headed to The River on Nov. 3 to join his brother Keith Boothe and best friend Kenny Christian on the other side. 

Jimmy was a proud member of the UMWA and a Coal Miner for 25 yrs.  He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed retirement fishing, hunting, and riding the backroads shotgun with bottle of Southern Comfort and his sidekick and grandson Jared McDougald by his side. 

He was preceded in death by father James H. Neeley, Sr., mother Betty Lou Boothe, and brother Walter Keith Boothe.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Neeley; son Christopher Neeley; daughter Brandi Neeley and husband Glenn Burton; grandchildren Jared McDougald, Brooke-Lynn McDougald, Breanna Cooper, and Piper Neeley; sister Tammy Neeley Payne and husband Kenneth Payne; nieces Kyla Amber and Haley; nephews Chad and Zach; and family friend Cathy Christian.

Following his wishes, there will not be a service. Those who wish to say farewell are encouraged to make a toast in his honor with drink of choice. 

His ashes will be spread at a celebration of life at a later time. If you didn't care to come see him while he was alive, he said you're not invited.
