Henry Roger Tipton

Henry Roger Tipton, 72, left this world to enter into his eternal heavenly home. Reunited with the love of his life Mary Lynn, together they went to see Jesus. Roger faithfully attended Kagley Chapel Baptist Church where he served many years on the cemetery committee, sitting in all kinds of weather every decoration weekend to meet, greet and assist the many people who came each year. He will be sadly missed by his mother Marie Tipton and his six sisters, Darlene & Ronnie Crisp, Alberta & JT Boring, who saw that he made every appointment while he fought cancer, Alice & Ron Day, Sandy & Arnold Whitehead, Kathy & Alex Smith and Sherry & Tony Hill; his four sons Terry & Tami Welshan, Sam & Tisha Welshan, Andy & Yvonne Welshan and Brian & Crystal Welshan, which proudly and graciously proves that DNA does not determine family. He leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 7 from 4-6 pm at Kagley Chapel Baptist Church immediately followed by a celebration of life service.
