Gary Thomas "GT" Lamb

July 7, 1946 — April 26, 2022

Gary (aka GT) Lamb, loving husband and father, died unexpectedly on April 26, 2022, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Jannah, his three daughters, Heather, Juliet & Tracy, and his 6 grandsons, David, Zach, Danny, Max, Jack & Brody. GT was born to Robert and Christol Lamb of Canajoharie, NY. He was the second of three children and the family lived in multiple locations across the US during his childhood. An exemplary student, GT graduated high school with honors, although his college career was interrupted when he was called to serve his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. During his service, he received numerous commendations, a National Defense Service Medal (NDSM), a Navy Good Conduct Medal (NGCM), and an honorable discharge. To satisfy his ongoing thirst for knowledge, GT continued to pursue higher education throughout his life, earning several degrees at secular and seminary colleges. GT’s life was always focused on God, his family and serving his community. His easy laughter and warm hugs will be missed, as well as his quick wit and ability to provide timely Scripture in any situation. He thoroughly enjoyed philosophical conversations and spent many an afternoon engaged with friends and neighbors exploring different viewpoints. We are grateful for the time that we had with him and are looking forward to seeing him again. His family asks that any donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that was important to GT for its goal of eradicating veteran homelessness as well as providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with small children, and smart home housing for catastrophically injured veterans and their families.
