Ernest Leon Stinnett, Sr.

Ernest Leon Stinnett Sr., age 65, of Maryville, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. Ernest graduated from Maryville High School, class of 1978. He was an avid sportsman and loved spending time out on the lake with family and friends. He worked as an insurance adjuster for Appalachian Claims Service for many years.

Ernest is preceded in death by his wife, Sonja Stinnett; and his parents, Bobby and Dora Stinnett. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Eric) Everett; son, Ernie Jr (Bree) Stinnett; and grandchildren Miranda Bowen, Mason and Trevor McCarter, and Wyatt and Waylon Stinnett. Ernest is also survived by his brother, Tom (Patty) Stinnett; sister, Carol (Harold) Hord; his many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sydney.

A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Fort Loudon Pavilion 5-8pm.
