Dottie passed away peacefully at her home in Maryville on Tuesday, 10/23/18. All her children were present. The 4th Great Granddaughter of James and Mary White, Founder of Knoxville, Dottie was much loved and very popular in Blount and Knox counties. A graduate of East High School in Knoxville, Dottie was the oldest child of Alexander Fyffe Brandau II and Dorothy Lillian Armstrong Brandau. She was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and the Lady Vols were her particular favorite. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E, (Gene) Patterson and their beloved daughter, Gina Elizabeth Patterson. Also preceded in death by her younger brother, L.S., (Buddy), Brandau. Survived by her brother, Alexander Fyffe Brandau, III of Nashville. Son, David Patterson and grandsons, Alex and Justin. Daughter, Virginia Christine, (Tina), Patterson-Lease and her husband Joe. Son, Joseph Eugene Patterson, his children, Belinda White Axsom and her children Jadon, Jordan and Jaxton, and Blake White and his children Riley and Reese. Children of her Heart, Sandy and David Greene of Maryville. Nieces, nephews, cousins and hundreds of Friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 2nd from 3:oo pm to 6:00 pm at Smithview Pavilion, 601 Smithview Drive, Maryville, TN 37803, (865) 281-1468. Casual Dress.
