Billy Ray Morgan

Billy Ray Morgan, 88 of Maryville, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at home with his family by his side after a brief battle with cancer. Bill was born on February 14, 1935, in Rutledge, TN to Sarah Fennell and Frank Morgan. He was an employee of Anheuser-Busch Company for 45 years and after his retirement he worked an additional 20 years for Airport Auto Auction. During his years of employment, he made countless friends while working his routes. One of Bill’s greatest joys was spending time at his camper in the Sundown Resort in Townsend. There he indulged in another passion in caring for his flowers and plants. He and his wife, Liz, attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Miller), brother Mack Fennell (Sara) (nephew Sam); children Kevin Morgan (Annette), Sharon McCulla (Jimmy), Billy Morgan, Jr. (Robin), and Becky Dunn (Kenny); grandchildren Johnathan McCulla (Shelby), Jordan McCulla (Samantha), Dylan Morgan (Audrey), Mackenzie Best (Chase), Carson Morgan, Alex Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Jamie Turley (Chris), Amber Clark (Champ), and Brittany Diaz (Jorge); and 18 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Receiving of friends will be 1-3pm with service at 3pm, Pastor Gary McCammon officiating.
