Sharon Kay Allen,61, passed away suddenly at her home in Maryville, TN on Friday November 2. Her husband of 43 years, Paul Allen, was at her side as she passed. Sharon was born on July 21, 1957 in Big Sandy, TX. to parents Frank and Wynell Alford. She married her high school sweetheart on July 12, 1975, and graduated Pine Tree High School in 1976. Over the next few years, Sharon kept quite busy as mother to three children before working outside the home. During these years, she cultivated many happy memories and traditions with her children and provided a constant source of love and encouragement for them. Sharon was a production inspector for several high production companies making everything from postage stamps, to home décor items. She went on to a career as a Quality Control Technician for several companies including Voxcom Industries and Panasonic. In 2014 she retired after 13 years as a QC Tech for Denso TN. Sharon was a very outgoing, cheerful person that made friends easily. She maintained life long friendships with her closest friends and enjoyed long visits with all her friends and relatives. She is survived by her husband, Paul Allen, three children, Charles Robert (Rusty) Allen of Peachtree City, GA, Scott Michael Allen of Maryville, TN, and Amanda Ann Allen of Charlotte, NC, two granddaughters Emily Brianne Allen and Evangiline Reagan Allen, mother Wynell Nelson, Father Frank M. Alford, sister LeAnne McFarland and husband Kelly, of Fruita, CO, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service for Sharon is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 1 at Calvary Baptist Church on Tenneryville Rd in Longview, TX.
