Mrs. Ruth Ann Jordan

Ruth Ann Jordan, age 78, of Vonore, TN passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was the wonderful, loving Mother of four children and enjoyed the outdoor life of hiking and kayaking in the Smokey Mountains. She loved to sing. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church where she was a member of the church choir. Earlier she was a member of a championship chorus of Sweet Adeline's in Minneapolis, MN . Ruth was energetic, outgoing, and always smiling, allowing her to live life at the fullest everywhere she traveled. Preceded in death by her parents George Doran and Hope Miner she leaves behind her loving husband of 54 years, Bill, children Kelly, Daniel (Kim), Darren and Doreen. One grandchild, Max Jordan, her twin sister Rita Haynie (Jack) of Fresno, CA and her older sister Kathleen Whaley of Akron, OH along with 9 nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held 10:00, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church and officiated by Rev Mark Rhodes. A reception celebrating her life will then be held at the Kahite Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association of Knoxville, TN.
