Mr. Roy Patrick Neuenschwander

Roy Patrick Neuenschwander, 70, passed away at home on January 13, 2019 in the company of his beloved wife, Penny. Roy was born May 3, 1948 in St. Paul, MN to parents Virginia and Harold Neuenschwander. Roy grew up in Knoxville and graduated from the UT College of Law. Roy practiced law for four decades and retired a few years ago. In retirement, Roy greatly enjoyed spending time with his wife and reading to his heart’s content. Roy is preceded in death by his parents and his dear brother, John. Roy is survived by wife, Penny Morrell, her children Brook and Chancey Tipton, and Brook’s son, River Tipton, who affectionately called Roy, Pa. Roy is also survived by his children Patrick (Garner) Neuenschwander and Andrea (Tom) Rentsch and grandchildren Piper and Kacki Neuenschwander, Sophie Bunch and Adelynn Rentsch. Roy is also survived by five siblings; Allen (Stephanie) Neuenschwander, Mark (Betsy) Neuenschwander, Nancy (Glenn) Sneed, Patty (David) Powers, and Neal (Kim) Neuenschwander, and by ten nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Saturday, January 26th. The receiving of friends will be from 12-1. The Mass will begin at 1.
