Charles Michael Clifford, born May 10, 1948 in Oak Ridge Tennessee, died October 24, 2019. Charles was married to Gini Davis Clifford in 1985 and resided in Maryville, Tennessee after graduating from University of Tennessee Law School. Charles was preceded in death by his Mother, Martha Mae Clifford and Father, Charles Edward Clifford. Charles Michael is survived by his wife, Gini Clifford, brother Tim and Dr. Susan Clifford (Dallas, TX), nephews Stephen and Christopher Clifford; his brother Patrick Clifford and wife, Sally Birkam (Muskegon, MI), nephews Adam Clifford and Dara Q. Clifford, grandniece, Miram Clifford (Appleton, WI) and nephew David Clifford (Bucheon, Korea). His step mother Carolyn Hutson Clifford. After completing Law School, Charles was in the practice of Law in Maryville, Tennessee until his retirement in 2016. Charles was the president of the Knoxville Tennessee Legal Aid Society for many years. Charles (known as Mike to his family) was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and great uncle to his family. Mike was an avid photographer with thousands of published photos on the Flicker web site plus being a lifelong Tennessee volunteer fan. Mike was a participant in the local community theater groups of Maryville and was a passionate fan of theatrical performances in major metropolitan areas of the country. He loved political debate and was a long-time member of the Blount County Democratic Party.
